Today
will be my last day I will be here in Israel. Looking back on my experience
that I have had, it still hasn’t hit me that I did all of these wonderful
things. Taking time to appreciate all that I’ve done has defiantly changed the
type of person I am. My last blog post is going to be about the mock election
we had in class on Thursday. It was a great experience and I learned a lot. It
was nice to see everyone speak about their parties and demonstrate new ideas
they had for their party’s platforms for the future. Doing the readings from
the Cotemporary Israel book taught me information about the Likud, Labor, Shas,
and Meretz parties but I wasn’t aware of many of the other parties ideologies.
It was a cool way to learn about them fist hand like we did
I
usually don’t do that much public speaking so it was good for me to get up in
front of the class and do a presentation. I know that when I am in the
professional world I will have to make presentations to my colleagues, and
practicing is the way that I will achieve that. I really enjoyed your class and
feel although I got a lot more out of this course then I would’ve if I just did
an my upper level ISS course at MSU. Being able to see all of the different
things we were being taught about made the learning process much easier. I
really appreciate your enthusiasm that you have had this whole program. I
enjoyed how you would always present the other side of an argument to us and
let us make up our own minds about how we thought about issues in Israel. I
hope to keep in touch with you next year and see you around campus. Have a
great rest of your summer
